Pleural Effusion Care

At Breathe Better Clinic, under the guidance of Dr. Davindra Kundra, we focus on respiratory health and the evaluation of lung-related conditions, including pleural effusion. Our aim is to help patients understand their symptoms, identify possible underlying causes, and receive appropriate medical care.

Pleural effusion is a condition in which excess fluid accumulates in the space between the lungs and the chest wall. It may cause breathlessness, chest pain, persistent cough, and difficulty taking deep breaths. Common causes include pneumonia, tuberculosis (TB), heart failure, certain cancers, and other medical conditions. Symptoms and severity can vary depending on the amount of fluid and its underlying cause.

At Breathe Better Clinic, we emphasize careful clinical assessment and appropriate diagnostic investigations to help determine the cause of respiratory symptoms. Depending on the patient’s condition, evaluation may include chest X-rays, ultrasound, CT scans, or analysis of pleural fluid. Treatment depends on the underlying cause and may include medication or fluid drainage when medically indicated.

Our goal is to support timely diagnosis, appropriate treatment guidance, and better respiratory health.

Do not ignore unexplained breathlessness or chest pain. Seek prompt medical evaluation for appropriate diagnosis and care.
